| This is primarily a poet\'s novel, describing the Russian Revolution as it impinged on one individual, both doctor and poet. Famously filmed with Omar sgarif as Zhivago, this is the novel that made Pasternak famous in the West. It won him the Nobel Prize in 1958 but he was not permitted to accept. It was accepted for him posthumously by his son. |
